A prestigious initiative by Majlis Lembaga Pengelola Sekolah-Sekolah Tamil Malaysia (MAATRAM) aimed at empowering Malaysian students, especially those from B40 and underrepresented communities, to access quality diploma programs at SRI College.
To be eligible for the Wawasan Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Empowering Indian youth from the B40 community with priority access to scholarships for quality education and leadership development.
Supporting B40 students from all other Malaysian communities to foster inclusive growth and equal opportunities.
Scholarships for students who may not meet traditional academic criteria but demonstrate strong potential, commitment, or unique talents.

Applying for the 2025 Wawasan Scholarship is simple.

Complete the online application form and prepare your supporting documents.
Submit
Upload your documents, including SPM results, IC, income proof, and personal statement.
Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview or further assessment.
Award
Successful applicants will be notified and begin their journey with SRI College.
Selection Process
Our dedicated committee will review all applications based on eligibility, academic merit, and personal statement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview (in-person or virtual). Final scholarship recipients will be notified by 15 September 2025.
The 2025 Wawasan Scholarship by MAATRAM prioritises inclusivity with targeted support for communities that have historically faced educational and economic disadvantages. 60% is allocated for Malaysian Indians due to persistent underrepresentation and socio-economic disparities. At the same time, 30% is reserved for other B40 students of all races, and 10% for those who show exceptional potential despite academic shortcomings. The goal is fairness, not exclusion and to ensure that no deserving student is left behind.
Yes, the Wawasan Scholarship currently supports students enrolling in diploma programs at SRI College only. It is designed to complement our mission of accessible, future-focused education with our selected education partner.
Yes, students who are not selected are welcome to reapply in the next intake, provided they still meet the eligibility criteria. We also encourage you to explore other financial aid or installment plan options offered by SRI College.
Yes. 10% of scholarships are set aside for students who may not meet the standard academic criteria but show outstanding potential in other areas such as leadership, community service, or entrepreneurship. Your personal statement and background will play a key role in the evaluation but nonetheless you must still meet the diploma requirement
